Join We’re Next, a one‑of‑a‑kind experience like no other in Ware. You’ll get creative with local artists, meet cultural leaders, share ideas with local decision-makers and help shape Ware’s future. We’re looking for around 30 young people who want to be creative, have fun and help shape the future of Ware. This is for young people who will be in Years 7–10 in the 2026-2027 school year. Dates for We’re Next will be announced soon.

We’re Next is sponsored by Ware Town Council and is being organised by the new CIC Ware Next. The week is being organised by a committee of people who first came together to lead Ware Next’s bid for Ware to be UK Town of Culture in 2028. The committee includes people with extensive experience working with young people to share their stories and to take part in issues that matter to them in creative, fun and powerful ways. While we weren’t successful with the Town of Culture bid, but that won’t stop Ware Next. Stay tuned!
No. We’re Next is about trying things out, learning new skills and having a go. You do not need to be perfect or already experienced.
That’s okay. You do not have to be loud to take part. There will be different ways to share ideas, and the week is meant to feel supportive and friendly.
A Youth Champion is someone who shares ideas, gives feedback and helps shape what Ware Next does in the future. If Ware’s Town of Culture bid moves forward, Youth Champions may help shape that too.
You might do spoken word, art and design, film or animation, theatre, photography and social media.
Yes. You’ll spend time with local artists, leaders from Ware’s cultural organisations and local political leaders.
You need to live in or go to school in or near Ware.

Youth Champions will be asked to help advise Ware Next up to the next programme in 2027.
